Dr. Nancy Witherspoon is a family medicine physician through the American Board of Family Practice. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families in our community.
Alex Fort, FNP-BC joined Healthstar Physicians in 2019 and currently practices at East Tennessee Primary Care Associates in Knoxville. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Furman University, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee in 2012. Alexandra completed her Master of Science in Nursing at East Tennessee State University in 2015.
Board-certified by the ANCC, Alexandra specializes in diabetic management and health-based education. She focuses on holistic, patient-centered care with an emphasis on managing chronic conditions. Alexandra provides care for patients aged 13 and older.
Originally from Knoxville, Alexandra enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid supporter of UT sports, cheering on the Vols.
Meghan Reed joined Healthstar Physicians in August 2025 as a Physician Assistant at East Tennessee Primary Care Associates. A Knoxville native, Meghan earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South College in 2021 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Tennessee, earned in 2018.
Before joining Healthstar, Meghan worked for 3.5 years as a Physician Assistant at Lakeway Urgent Care. She is board-certified by the NCCPA and a member of both the Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA) and the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA).
Meghan enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and is passionate about educating and empowering them to take an active role in their health. She provides care for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Outside of work, Meghan enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
